Business Extension Service has taken essential steps to ensure 24/7 operations for our clients. These steps include, but are not limited to:
- Round the clock contracted support from its switch vendor, StarTel. This assistance includes access to mission-critical equipment that provides Business Extension Service with complete call center operations.
- Essential hardware kept onsite for immediate replacement.
- A natural gas generator for auxiliary power in the event of a power outage. This unit is tested monthly to guarantee proper operating condition when needed.
- Backup battery supplies in place for all equipment needed to perform call center duties.
- Emergency procedure documents clearly posted in server room environment. Access to documents and demonstration of knowledge of these procedures is required for all Business Extension Service employees.
- Network for computer technicians with remote access to all mission-critical equipment for immediate repair.
In the unlikely event that Business Extension Service experiences a telephone outage or hardware/ software failure, we will take the following actions:
- Contact the technical support personnel provided by its telephone provider to troubleshoot and assist in the situation where possible.
- Contact the on call technical support staff provided by its switch vendor, StarTel Corporation.
- Maintain a normal level of staffing to answer calls manually on paper until the system is up and running again.
